Fat cat on a mat

Once we have read the story "Fat Cat on a Mat" we can work out the sounds from the story.

We will show our students different pictures and sentences from the story where they have to choose the correct letter in each case, working the sound while they drag the letter.

They have to read the word without the E and then, think what happen if we write an E at the end of the word. Finally, they have to recognize the word from the pictures on the left

To introduce this topic we can play this game. It consist in drag the pictures in the circle to the correct face outside. We can work lots of expresions and feelings.

We can give children lots of products from a market based on "Thew very hungry caterpillar". This products are all the food that our likeable caterpillar ate because he was so hungry...

It is an opportunity to work vocabulary, numbers and interaction between them

If we want our students learn to say hello, goodbye, good night... we can give them lots of activities or we can work lots of diary routines.
One interesting thing we can do is teach them and sing all together songs to work this kind of things.
